About
I began executive producing radio in 1981,first for the RICK DEES MORNING SHOW on KIIS-FM in Los Angeles. That parlayed into the RICK DEES WEEKLY TOP 40 a few years later and continued to produce both of those shows, on and off, for the next 25 years. In the midst of those endeavors, I was the Executive Producer for the ROBERT W. MORGAN SHOW on K-Earth 101, and then in 2006 began executive producing the DENNIS MILLER SHOW, for several years. Good heavens I'm old!
There was quite a bit of television writing and producing during those years as well. I also spent some time in corporate marketing with several airlines (TWA, America West, and Air France), and then decided to devote the next 10 years or so to photography and to travel the world, sharing with the world, my vision for what makes photographic images profound, moving, and life-changing.
Turns out, the world wasn't interested, silly world, so I started a website.
Most of the work is in black and white with a little color splashed in for good measure. I've chosen to enhance many of the images with various photographic filters, never desiring to alter the image in any significant way, but rather to visually bring to the forefront the components of the photograph that were of most profound importance to me. If other elements are more relevant to you, all the merrier.
All of the photographs (except for a select few), were taken throughout the world in some of the most extraordinary places on earth such as, S. Africa, Prague, Portugal, Iceland, Mexico, Rome, Hungary, Australia, Athens, Hong Kong, Spain, and Venice...
I never, ever wanted to display my photography on a website, as, I believe, that's hardly the environment to view art, regardless of the artist, and so, pre-pandemic, my work was being humbly displayed at photo conferences and seminars, art shows and one-off cultural gatherings in and around Los Angeles.
Then, the world shut down and, well...So, in spite of the environment, I invite you to enjoy the images and if perhaps, one or more strike you in a certain way, I'd love to hear about it...
